Someone ought to whip up a batch of Dr. Russell's Miracle Pyramid Soap for an apostatafest.

Would taking the Harp book from the KH library be stealing?
by EndofMysteries incan anyone verify, but aren't those supposed to be trashed?
there are no pre 1950's wt in there anymore.
i saw that book there though, wondering if once an elder realizes it, will it be trashed or not?

Be sure to show them your UN Library Card first, then feel free to take it home for review.

What if WBTS is right?

i do..

I think the odds that the WATCHTOWER is "right" is just a tad less than the odds that every member of this forum will win tomorrow's lottery.
The WTB&TS has an unbelievable record of 100% failure with their prophetic pronouncements. If they flipped a coin they would have done better!
Blondie, if a running clock is set to the wrong time, it is ALWAYS wrong. A stopped clock may be right twice a day, but no one knows when that instant occurs unless it is compared to a running clock set to the correct time.

Atheists Against Abortion?
by AK - Jeff inhttp://objectivewriting.blogspot.com/2007/09/atheist-stand-against-abortion.html.
thoughts that somewhat parallel mine on this subject.
rational thought and rejection of creationism might not automatically place one in a particular stance on every issue, and may result in somewhat odd positions, compared to the stereotypical ones.

I also am an atheist, and like many who have posted so far, I feel abortion is something not to be taken lightly.
Several years ago when I was catching up on some education that had been denied me by my earlier life as a Dub, I had an English class in which one of the students was a very pretty young woman who wrote about the many (I think it was seven) abortions she had had. She wasn't yet 25 years old! She was a "party girl" who quite obviously didn't think that safe sex was worth the trouble. Her preferred form of birth control seemed to be abortion.
I found that replusive.
To me, the issue is not about when life begins, but whether life is sacred. I do not believe it is.

Where did 607 come from?
by MrFreeze inokay so we've obviously established on this board that 607 is not the correct date that babylon destroyed jerusalem.
even before 1914 came around, the bible students still thought 1914 would be a pivital date.
the only way they can gain that info is from the 7 times or w/e.

Most JWs believe that Bible typology (the "types" and "anti-types" stuff) and Bible-basedâ„¢ chronology started when Jehovah's Magic descended upon Chuck Russell early in his ministry. What a revelation it is when they learn that Bible typology goes back nearly as far as the Bible itself! Pre-Christian Jews practiced it!
MANY of CTR's fundamental calculations were taken directly from earlier Protestant writers without a second thought. Probably CTR felt that these earlier leaders of "the church" were also inspired. Remember that CTR though "true Christians" were dispersed throughout Christendom and his role was to gather them together as the "Christian Age" ended. I'm sure he saw not ethical problem with what he did; he simply "forgot" to tell what his sources were.
I learned just a year ago from AlanF that the 7,000-year "creative day" is a concept that can be found as far back as Zoroaster, long, long, before Abraham strolled the desrt with his flocks.
It is AMAZING, isn't it?

Interesting experience on SL...JeHOvah's Witness and I have an encounter
by mindmelda ini go to a women's discussion group on sl, second life, which is a virtual community where you do all sorts of things, including entertainment, discussion groups, media, and just socializing through the use of animated avatars which can be quite realistically human or whatever you want them to be, really, aliens, elves, dragons, vampires, etc.. anyway, a woman there brought to the discussion a situation where she had her real life husband wants to divorce her for a witness woman he had met..and get this...she had come to his door after the couple separated and offered him a bible study, and apparently instead, it turned into a romance and then, according to the woman, her husband and this woman are hitting the sheets.
(you're not supposed to call on the opposite sex alone, and do doubt this is one reason...too many lonely witness women who'd jump on the first piece of dude they meet!
lol).

"REVERSE Spiritual Warfare" is when an "apostate" goes on public discussion boards and acts like the biggest A-hole JW anyone has ever met.
It's all Bible-basedâ„¢.

The real story on why The Watchtower society lost a Kingdom hall in Bonham ,Texas.!
by koolaid-man inwhat happened in bonham, texas?
: the body of elders and the majority of the congregation decided to leave the watch tower organization.
and with that, they took the kingdom hall.

As good as the program was, it left some questions unanswered.
Unfortunately, no one has (yet) collected the court records (Federal Circuit And Federal District Courts near Bonham, TX) that document the issues and arguments of both sides. We did learn that today that Kingdom Hall still stands, vacant, with one of it's two former watchtowers missing, like an ancient remnant of Babylon or some other lost civilization. We don't know who is currently paying the property taxes on this parcel of land, and we don't even know who really has legal title to it; Tony Jones told us that he doesn't have the title, and the other elder who was with Tony back in the day has died, so the possibility exists that after all this time the title has gone back to the WTB&TS, or - perhaps more likely - that it was quit-claimed over to one of the lawyers who helped the WTB&TS fight for it.
On the map, Bonham looks like it is about about 100 miles NNE of Dallas. Perhaps some enterprising Dallas apostate will decide to be a historian and get the court records and newspaper clippings from that time - approximately the mid-1980s. At least one of the newspapers that operated in the area back then are out of business today, but hopefully a library - maybe even a Dallas library - would have microfilm records. Also worth getting would be the property tax records for the parcel. All of these items should be public record.
Thanks Richard and Rick for making this teleconference possible.

Rick, you and Richard ARE the MAN! ...maybe even more than one... two MEN!
The answer to an apostate's "eager expectation of things hoped for."
I will >>try<< to be on, and I eagerly anticipate the posting of the recording on the DIALOGUE page at the SIX SCREENS OF THE WATCHTOWER website.
May your tribe increase!

Atheists - how do you feel about magic / demonism?
by EndofMysteries incurious, as ones not believing in any spirit creatures, would you feel completely at ease performing a summon demon ritual, or using ancient magic words, that absolutely nothing would happen?
or deep down would you have a 'what if' restraint preventing you?

Endofmysteries asked, "would you feel completely at ease performing a summon demon ritual, or using ancient magic words, that absolutely nothing would happen? Or deep down would you have a 'what if' restraint preventing you?
I own a copy of the Necromomicon (human skin covers - my own skin, btw, so it's OK), and several books on demonology and the Satanic Bible, in addition to other occult literature. I have a statue of Cthulhu in my home, tarot cards and a ouija board.
I created an audio file that recites the Lord's prayer backwards in both English and Latin. I have skrying mirrors and crystal balls, skulls, mojo bags and amulets.
Each day I read a text from the books aloud the way I used to read the Yearbook texts when I was a Dub.
Just as then, nothing happens.
BOOGA BOOGA! Did I scare you?
